Arrived a gemini with a great deal of divided personalities. For one thing, I can laugh at one moment and be upset the next. But Im not the hardest person to get along with, certainly. I came to be me on 10th June 1991. Spent the last nighteen years of my life in attempts to piece myself together, and is still desperately trying. Family and friends are my life. At least that's the way it is till a boyfriend comes along XD Anyway, icecream's my addiction, my medicine, my must-have. Now you know how to make me happy. I dont need expensive gifts I just want a true heart. I'm majorly affected by the people around me. Can't say if it's a blessing or a curse, 'cause the little things people do can either make my day or simply make it worse. Just give me a smile, and I'll return one to you^^

This is the life.

Decided to spend a lazy Tuesday at home;
just appreciating the cool weather,
while buried deep in the thoughts of writing,
and embraced in the comfort of my bed.
Life just couldn't be more carefree than this,
at least for now it is(:

Well,
this is gonna be a pretty long post,
because I visited the Singapore Arts Museum (S.A.M) yesterday!
So you can anticipate an artsy fuzzy piece of post ahead! :DD

As the saying goes,
"A picture speaks a thousand words.".
If that's the case,
this is gonna be a million-word essay XDD

Can you see me?
This is the entrance to the museum,
and it's accompanied by a giant rabbit named Walter (as we found out later).
Unfortunately you can only see his backside from here hahaha but he's really cute,
and he's kinda like the ambassador for the museum if I'm not wrong,
'cause he's like imprinted in most of the souvenirs we got from the museum XDD

Our first stop is... the stairway!
Hahaha I was telling Daph that I really love spiral stairways,
and when I marry someday I'm gonna be walking down a pretty spiral stairway to meet Him :DD

Enough with the rubbish haha,
this is the first art piece we came across.
This painting is really impressive cause it's not created by the hands of a human but by the branches of trees,
swaying with the wind.
Well,
the brushes were tied upon the branches of the tree and along with the help of the wind,
this painting was created.
Impressive isn't it?(:

This is one that I particularly liked.
The words especially,
were very meaningful.
And the fact that light shines from within makes it even more beautiful(:

Remember the giant bunny?
He's actually been modeling in many places across Singapore,
and this is one of the many photos taken :DD

I'm actually rather impressed with this as well,
since human faces are (to me) one of the hardest thing to portray,
so yeahh I was very impressed!

It may not seem much from here but when you see this for yourself,
it's actually really eye-catching,
and this,
in particular,
stood out from the rest.

Another one of the favorites;
"the grass is always greener on the inside"

This is Daph's favorite from this part of the gallery.
This artist uses mainly strokes to create his paintings,
and both of us were wahh-ing all the way while looking at his art pieces.

Next stop we went to the SAM at 8Q,
which is a sub museum of SAM,
and is more catered for kids and such,
and also explains why I had alot more fun there hahaha XDD

Not forgetting to take a photo of our lovely shoes!

Wonder why we have shower caps on our shoes?

That's because we entered an art piece,
and to avoid dirtying it,
we had to wear shower caps.

Moving on we came to this gallery which exhibits this!
They're actually clay made beautiful with the use of common daily objects such as keys,
paperclips and etc.
This one was actually made with just correction tapes!

Check out the ones we created hahaha!

Then we went into this interactive gallery where art is combined with technology.
The pictures move when there's sound,
which explains why I'm at the microphone haha.
There's also one where we dance and the clip gets uploaded into a giant screen.
Daph said this gallery was her favorite haha :DD

This was also very interesting for me.
The boxes are designed in a way where they form a picture when you put them together.

Lastly we took a picture with the mural on the wall which goes from the first floor to the fourth.

YAY!
Overall I had a wonderful, wonderful time!
It's not everyday that we get to go to a museum and it was a very enriching experience for me too,
which has no doubt deepened my appreciation for the arts.
But most of all,
I'm just glad that I can experience this with a friend like Daph.
It's nice that we can spend some time together and just talk about ourselves;
our past, the present, and even plans for the future.
Daphne has a very unique character,
and I don't think I'll ever find another friend like her haha XDD

Anyway we went to Marina Square and there's this shop that sells all sorts of korean food!
Had the urge to just buy the entire shop lol.
Hope to go back there again and grab those goodies haha!

Alrighty it's time to say goodbye again!
But before I go,
would like to just share another picture that I came across this morning:

Although the idea of wolves inside me scares me,
but I think it's pretty true.
